GETTING STARTED IN ADAPTIVE SPORTS

Our Pediatric Early Intervention Adaptive Sports Program is designed to support children with disabilities through engaging, therapeutic, and fun sports activities. By providing adaptive sports opportunities from an early age, this program aims to enhance motor skills, build physical strength, and foster social connections, all while encouraging children to develop confidence and independence.

Program Details

  • When: Saturdays starting February 8th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

  • Where: Bachmann Recreation Center, Dallas, Texas

  • Activities: Fun games and adaptive sports, opportunities to meet families already involved in adaptive sports, and the chance to connect with adaptive athletes.

Program Goals

  • Promote Physical Development: Through adaptive sports, children will improve their balance, coordination, and strength, laying a solid foundation for physical health and overall development.

  • Encourage Social Interaction: This program creates a supportive environment for children to interact with peers, learn teamwork, and develop important social skills.

  • Boost Confidence and Self-Esteem: Participating in adaptive sports empowers children to realize their potential, building their self-confidence and fostering a sense of accomplishment.

  • Provide Early Intervention: Early exposure to adaptive sports helps children with disabilities meet developmental milestones and gain the skills needed for future success in various life activities.
